Im unsure how that works if you have more then 1 partition or multiple disks whether you can turn it on for multiple partitions\disks if your on Home edition. In any case with device encryption turned on you should be fine IF the files are atleast on the same partition as the OS. Anyway if the device encryption option is turned on for you then you wouldn't need the user level encryption provided though File Explorer anyway so it would be unnecessary. If it isn’t available on your computer, the ‘Encrypt contents to secure data’ option will be greyed out.
